Additionally, he examines the intersection between these two areas. Will’s research covers, simpler desking solutions, flexible occupation and more social work settings, to support the interaction needs of an emerging generation of knowledge worker. At the forefront of research into environmental design technology, Will pioneered the SKA environmental tool. Furthermore, he is currently leading the BCO ‘Wellness Matters’ guide. Research projects include: Sustainable communities RIBA, SKA, Smart Cat A, BCO Wellness Matters and CoreNet UK Trading floor research.

Will studied at Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London and qualified as an architect in 1998. Will spent his early career at Pringle Brandon, joining Perkins+Will in 2012. In 2018,, he founded WILL + Partners

Ian Apsley
About

As Managing Director at Broadway Malyan, Ian has overall responsibility for the day to day management of the global practice and chairs the main Holdings Board’s Executive Committee.

Ian joined Broadway Malyan in 1999 and became group Managing Director in 2019, after previously leading the practice’s Middle East and UK divisions. An architect by profession, Ian’s background is in the design of complex, mixed-use schemes in the UK, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. This has included Broadway Malyan’s work on the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) Future Schools Programme and numerous high-profile residential schemes in the UK.

Ian has a passionate interest in the challenges facing a fast-developing world, focusing on the social, cultural and technical aspects of design. Internally, Ian is currently driving the agenda to make the practice a more sustainable and responsible business. This includes leading the practice’s transition to employee-owned statues in 2016.

Rob Price
About

Rob is a Partner at WILL+Partners. He is an experienced and motivated designer with over 30 years of experience running teams on both large and small projects. His client base is broad and covers the financial, corporate, media and retail sectors.

Rob’s work includes undertaking client’s due diligence and workplace strategy, from Fit out though to Basebuild. He coordinates with consultant and landlord teams to fully review the existing / proposed / repurposed accommodation, enabling a complete building assessment.

He has worked on key projects such as The Willis Faber Building and Shell Centre, where an understanding of client needs have been paramount. Rob enjoys listening to the needs of the client in order to reach solutions that work for all.

Rob is a keen cyclist and competes with his local club. He has completed the London to Paris Sportive 3 times and runs Team WP, our practice cycle team. Rob supports education initiatives in Architecture and design, and is a keen advocate of increased accessibility within the industry.

Mitakshi Sirsi
About

Mitakshi specialises in sustainability in the workplace; particularly in directing management policy through research frameworks; and using training as a tool to integrate high-level strategies and certifications through the life cycle of buildings.

She believes that users fundamentally make and shape space, and that applying research, fostering engagement, and focusing on interdisciplinary application can encourage better design. Recently, she has been a part of the pioneering ‘BCO Wellness Matters’ project, and successfully applied novel frameworks to projects for clients such as Zurich Insurance, Hiscox, British Red Cross and Hogan Lovells LLP.

Mitakshi has spent her time in practice as an architect, sustainability, and policy consultant, working on various sustainable design, planning, and wellness projects in the UK and internationally. She holds an honours degree in Architecture and an MSc. in Environmental Design and Engineering (EDE) from the Bartlett, UCL.

She actively engages in climate-change impact activism and dialogue. Mitakshi looks to continue to seek a lasting impact on the planet through her work, education, and community involvement and efforts.

Kevin Goldsmith
About

Kevin specialises in leading refurbishment and fitout projects at Will + Partners, as well as leading the Sustainability group. Kevin has over 30 years working experience with projects covering both the UK and Europe.

During Kevin’s time in Practice, he has worked on a range of commercial and corporate projects. His volume of repeat work is a testament to his client dedication.

He studied at the Greenwich school of Architecture where he developed his interest in Sustainability and Maker Arts. Some of Kevin’s art and design work includes recycled furniture as well as running maker workshops in his local church community. Kevin is a researcher in sustainable architecture and design, using his knowledge learned at Will+Partners for clients as well as in his local community and charitable work.

He remains connected to the London universities and is a regular critic and Judge on panels, most recently judging furniture design for Cass school of Art and Architecture.

Chloe studied Psychology at University College London, where she gained an interest in design, fashion and how people in offices work. Her experience as a Fashion and Creative Director brings a different angle to our design work review process. Her past clients have included Apple, BBC, Disney, Netflix and L’Oreal.

Fashion Imagery is still her great passion, and she brings great insight in to retail office design, having worked for companies such as Burberry. Chloe has over 25 years’ experience in design, and operational organization.

As well as providing support to the WILL+Partners operation, she brings terrific insight into workplace strategy and change management.

John Drew

John studied in London and the USA, attending the Architectural Association in London and Kingston University, before completing a master’s degree at Yale.

He spent fifteen years as a partner at Foster + Partners, overseeing numerous projects in the City, including 33 Holborn, 10 Gresham Street, and 100 Wood Street. John also contributed to international projects like Chep Lap Kok Airport in Hong Kong, the Kogod Courtyard for the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC, and The Reichstag in Berlin.

In 2005, John became the London Director at Rafael Vinoly Architects, managing projects such as 20 Fenchurch Street, the Battersea Power Station redevelopment, the Mathematical Institute for Oxford University, and the Bahrain Bay Development.

In 2010, John co-founded Pringle Brandon Drew with Jack Pringle, Chris Brandon, and William Poole-Wilson. The firm merged with Perkins & Will in 2012, where John served as a principal, leading architecture in London. He designed buildings for Brookgate and the Oxford Science Park, The Stage in Shoreditch, Fleet House for the City of London, and 150 Holborn for DAR.

John is passionate about urban regeneration and sustainable design. He has extensive experience working on the City Fringe in London, focusing on reintegrating damaged urban areas to create better living and working spaces. He believes in collaborative design, assembling top teams to deliver extraordinary buildings for clients.

Clare, a qualified Interior Designer, brings over 20 years of experience in Commercial Interior Design. She has led the design and delivery of award-winning projects both nationally and globally, across various commercial premises, including offices, higher education, healthcare, and leisure facilities.

Her main focus lies in workplace consultancy and design, helping organizations maximize their working environments through bespoke workplace strategies and detailed, evidence-based design.

Clare is an active member of the British Council of Offices, serving on both the regional Northern Committee and the National Technical Affairs Committee. In her role on the Technical Affairs Committee, she has contributed to several White Papers on best practices in office and workplace design. She co-authored a thought piece on post-Covid and hybrid working and contributed to the upcoming update of the BCO’s Guide to Fit Out.

Sarah has over 20 years of experience in interior design. She has undertaken numerous projects in the retail, workplace and public sectors. Her work ranges from large workspace design to the provision of lounge and meeting spaces. Clients include but are not limited to: BP, Citi Bank and Maclaren Group.

Sarah has good all round professional skills, from preparation of concept strategies and mood boards to space planning of room layouts, she ensures the needs of the client are at the forefront of design.

She is adept at researching new materials that can be considered for use in all environments and different countries. She focuses on taking each commission through from inception to completion.

Of particular interest to her is the impact of well-designed interiors and how the application of colour, texture and lighting can affect the quality of the visual environment.

Beth Starling

Beth, a creative concept interior designer, has been a member of the WILL Academy since 2020. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Architecture from Oxford Brookes University in 2017. Always eager to learn more, she returned to university in 2019 and earned her Master’s Degree in Interior Design from Brighton University.

Her master’s research, titled ‘The High Street of Tomorrow: Adaptive Re-use and Workplace Wellbeing,’ explores a reimagined British High Street. She believes connected communities can support workplace wellbeing and community wellness. Her research suggests that collaborative practices between hybrid workers and the wider community can enhance collective community value.

At the WILL Academy, Beth continues to delve into her interests in wellness, sustainability, and flexible working environments. Outside of work, she stays active by enjoying sports, especially horse riding, and loves home baking with her family.

His expertise spans commercial, educational, and community-focused architecture.

Ayo demonstrates his commitment to diversity through active involvement in industry initiatives. He is a recognized voice in the field, publishing impactful articles in the Architects’ Journal (AJ) and Dezeen, where he addresses challenges faced by underrepresented groups in architecture. This dedication earned him the BCO Next Gen Diversity & Inclusion Champion of the Year 2023 Award. His work sparks meaningful conversations and influences industry practices.

Additionally, Ayo collaborates with BPIC on programs that inspire the younger generation to pursue careers in architecture, ensuring a more diverse and representative future for the industry. Dr Nigel Oseland is an environmental psychologist, workplace strategist, change manager, researcher, international speaker and published author with 11 years research and 24 years workplace consulting experience.

Nigel draws on his psychology background and his own research to advise occupiers on how to redefine their workstyles and rethink their workplace to create working environments that enhance individual and organisational performance, delivering maximum benefit. He specialises in workplace strategy, design briefing and change management to help create workplaces that meet psychological needs and facilitate collaboration, creativity and concentration. Nigel has advised corporate businesses, public sector bodies and educational institutions in the UK and throughout EMEA.

Before setting up his own workplace consulting practice, Nigel was a researcher at the Building Research Establishment and completed his doctorate with the School of Engineering at Cranfield University. He then went on to become a workplace consultant at Johnson Controls (within their facilities management business), Swanke Hayden Connell Architects and specialist workplace practices AMA Alexi Marmot Associates and DEGW. When it comes to workplace design and planning, Nigel has an all-round experience.

Nigel is also an active speaker, lecturer, author, blogger and workplace pundit. His latest book, Beyond the Workplace Zoo, draws on the social sciences to create attractive offices that enhance wellbeing and performance. Additionally, he is a qualified Chartered Accountant (FCA) and spent 15 years in finance, capital markets, and derivatives COO roles for leading investment banks.

Before starting his own real estate consulting business, Ben held various executive positions at well-known global institutions. As the former Global Head of Property at Pearson PLC, he provided strategic and operational leadership for a complex global portfolio. He managed a large, geographically dispersed team across six continents. Ben led Pearson’s global location strategy and transformation program for five years, implementing innovative workplaces to support the company’s digital and growth agenda, and delivering significant financial benefits.

The firm merged with Perkins & Will in 2012, where John served as a principal, leading architecture in London. He designed buildings for Brookgate and the Oxford Science Park, The Stage in Shoreditch, Fleet House for the City of London, and 150 Holborn for DAR.

John is passionate about urban regeneration and sustainable design. He has extensive experience working on the City Fringe in London, focusing on reintegrating damaged urban areas to create better living and working spaces. He believes in collaborative design, assembling top teams to deliver extraordinary buildings for clients.

She has led the design and delivery of award-winning projects both nationally and globally, across various commercial premises, including offices, higher education, healthcare, and leisure facilities.

Her main focus lies in workplace consultancy and design, helping organizations maximize their working environments through bespoke workplace strategies and detailed, evidence-based design.

Clare is an active member of the British Council of Offices, serving on both the regional Northern Committee and the National Technical Affairs Committee. In her role on the Technical Affairs Committee, she has contributed to several White Papers on best practices in office and workplace design. She co-authored a thought piece on post-Covid and hybrid working and contributed to the upcoming update of the BCO’s Guide to Fit Out.

Sarah has over 20 years of experience in interior design. She has undertaken numerous projects in the retail, workplace and public sectors. Her work ranges from large workspace design to the provision of lounge and meeting spaces. Clients include but are not limited to: BP, Citi Bank and Maclaren Group.

Sarah has good all round professional skills, from preparation of concept strategies and mood boards to space planning of room layouts, she ensures the needs of the client are at the forefront of design.

She is adept at researching new materials that can be considered for use in all environments and different countries. She focuses on taking each commission through from inception to completion.

Of particular interest to her is the impact of well-designed interiors and how the application of colour, texture and lighting can affect the quality of the visual environment.

Beth, a creative concept interior designer, has been a member of the WILL Academy since 2020. She graduated with a BA (Hons) in Architecture from Oxford Brookes University in 2017. Always eager to learn more, she returned to university in 2019 and earned her Master’s Degree in Interior Design from Brighton University.

Her master’s research, titled ‘The High Street of Tomorrow: Adaptive Re-use and Workplace Wellbeing,’ explores a reimagined British High Street. She believes connected communities can support workplace wellbeing and community wellness. Her research suggests that collaborative practices between hybrid workers and the wider community can enhance collective community value.

At the WILL Academy, Beth continues to delve into her interests in wellness, sustainability, and flexible working environments. Outside of work, she stays active by enjoying sports, especially horse riding, and loves home baking with her family.

Additionally, Ayo collaborates with BPIC on programs that inspire the younger generation to pursue careers in architecture, ensuring a more diverse and representative future for the industry. His ongoing involvement with Blueprint for All and completion of his Part 3 Architecture course further highlight his dedication to professional growth and social impact within the architectural profession.

Dr Nigel Oseland is an environmental psychologist, workplace strategist, change manager, researcher, international speaker and published author with 11 years research and 24 years workplace consulting experience.

Nigel draws on his psychology background and his own research to advise occupiers on how to redefine their workstyles and rethink their workplace to create working environments that enhance individual and organisational performance, delivering maximum benefit. He specialises in workplace strategy, design briefing and change management to help create workplaces that meet psychological needs and facilitate collaboration, creativity and concentration. Nigel has advised corporate businesses, public sector bodies and educational institutions in the UK and throughout EMEA.

Before setting up his own workplace consulting practice, Nigel was a researcher at the Building Research Establishment and completed his doctorate with the School of Engineering at Cranfield University. He then went on to become a workplace consultant at Johnson Controls (within their facilities management business), Swanke Hayden Connell Architects and specialist workplace practices AMA Alexi Marmot Associates and DEGW. When it comes to workplace design and planning, Nigel has an all-round experience.

Nigel is also an active speaker, lecturer, author, blogger and workplace pundit. His latest book, Beyond the Workplace Zoo, draws on the social sciences to create attractive offices that enhance wellbeing and performance. He is also the programme advisor for the Workplace Trends series of international conferences.

Additionally, he is a qualified Chartered Accountant (FCA) and spent 15 years in finance, capital markets, and derivatives COO roles for leading investment banks.

Before starting his own real estate consulting business, Ben held various executive positions at well-known global institutions. As the former Global Head of Property at Pearson PLC, he provided strategic and operational leadership for a complex global portfolio. He managed a large, geographically dispersed team across six continents. Ben led Pearson’s global location strategy and transformation program for five years, implementing innovative workplaces to support the company’s digital and growth agenda, and delivering significant financial benefits.

Ben leverages his extensive client-side CRE and finance experience to help clients develop effective real estate transformation strategies. He assesses risks, identifies financial and operational improvement opportunities, designs and leads location strategies, and delivers business-enhancing change. He supports clients with governance, organizational design, portfolio and workplace strategies, capital and financing strategies, and delivering complex change programs across multiple geographies.
