John studied in London and the USA, attending the Architectural Association in London and Kingston University, before completing a master’s degree at Yale.
He spent fifteen years as a partner at Foster + Partners, overseeing numerous projects in the City, including 33 Holborn, 10 Gresham Street, and 100 Wood Street. John also contributed to international projects like Chep Lap Kok Airport in Hong Kong, the Kogod Courtyard for the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC, and The Reichstag in Berlin.
In 2005, John became the London Director at Rafael Vinoly Architects, managing projects such as 20 Fenchurch Street, the Battersea Power Station redevelopment, the Mathematical Institute for Oxford University, and the Bahrain Bay Development.
In 2010, John co-founded Pringle Brandon Drew with Jack Pringle, Chris Brandon, and William Poole-Wilson. The firm merged with Perkins & Will in 2012, where John served as a principal, leading architecture in London. He designed buildings for Brookgate and the Oxford Science Park, The Stage in Shoreditch, Fleet House for the City of London, and 150 Holborn for DAR.
John is passionate about urban regeneration and sustainable design. He has extensive experience working on the City Fringe in London, focusing on reintegrating damaged urban areas to create better living and working spaces. He believes in collaborative design, assembling top teams to deliver extraordinary buildings for clients.
