This merger will see both firms relocate to join Broadway Malyan’s established team in Waterloo, London. Our twelve-strong WILL+Partners teamlead by William Poole-Wilson will lead the workplace design division in the UK and Ireland and direct global workplace. DC3 Directors William Poole-Wilson, John Drew and Therese Bak, will join Broadway Malyan. The move means Broadway Malyan will broaden and diversify the sectors and client-base it serves via its London studio, with initial targets including corporate real estate fit out and City-based companies.

Ian Apsley, Group Managing Director, Broadway Malyan, said: “Augmenting Broadway Malyan’s strategic workplace offer is at the heart of our merger with WILL+Partners. We are working on a number of high profile corporate interiors schemes across mainland Europe, India and SE Asia and the combined offer of our firms will help consolidate Broadway Malyan’s offer in the UK.”

“The expertise, knowledge and design flair the team brings is hugely exciting for us and we look forward to working with new and existing clients on projects across sectors including corporate real estate and life sciences.”

Stuart Rough, Broadway Maylan Chair added: “We have a number of strong existing relationships with major corporates across the world with which we work on workplace repositioning and interior design. Over recent years we have undertaken more of this work outside of the UK than within it and adding the WILL+Partners team to our own will help us address this. With organisations globally reviewing their workplace requirements in the light of the Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting changing work patterns, we believe this is a great time to be strengthening our capability in this area.”

William Poole-Wilson, founder and managing director of WILL+Partners, will join Broadway Malyan’s executive board. Will has lead thought leadership and design in workplace for over 25 years, and is a visionary, author, architect, consultant and designer.

Will Poole-Wilson said: “For WILL+Partners, this move propels us ten years into the future with our thought leadership, academy, workplace consultancy and design leading the way from the context of human experience. What’s more, it’s going to be a lot of fun. I have always been an admirer of Broadway Malyan’s design work, and now this merger allows us to play a key part in that, allowing us all to grow in the UK, Ireland, Europe and globally. There is a clear overlap of key corporate accounts, particularly across the professional services space.”

WILL+Partners, which specialises in innovative workplace design, spanning across a wide variety of sectors including banking & insurance, major corporates and third sector will continue to operate under its existing brand.
